Birth plan

You are the boss of your own body and what happens to you. You are in control! We believe this is very important. During the dilation period or while pushing, something may happen that requires quick decision-making. It’s helpful to have thought about possible emergency situations beforehand. During pregnancy and labor, you may have to make different choices. Medical intervention may be necessary, which you may not have wanted or planned for.

That’s why it’s important to think about the birth process beforehand and write down your and your partner’s wishes in a birth plan. We typically use the meadarium in our practice, a self-study book that helps you prepare for labor. How do you normally cope with pain? What are you afraid of? What are your strengths? It’s good to broaden your knowledge about labor. Read about it or attend an information session. This will also help you reflect on your labor experience later on. In short, know what to expect and what choices you may have to make. Discuss it with your partner, so you both know what your wishes are. We will coach and guide you towards parenthood!
