Hospital deliveries are often artificially generated. The World Health Organization (WHO) is concerned about this increase.
The KNOV midwifery association states that insufficient attention is being paid to the negative consequences of an introduction, whereby digestion and contractions are artificially induced by breaking membranes and an infusion with contractions.
Gynecologists’ association NVOG says in the newspaper that there are indeed risks associated with an introduction. “And so you only have to intervene if the life of mother and / or child is in danger,” says gynecologist Jan Derks.
