In addition, there are a few situations where we would like you to call us.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-225 alignnone\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/Dora-slider-3.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"352\" height=\"416\" srcset=\"https:\/\/verloskundigendora.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/Dora-slider-3.png 352w, https:\/\/verloskundigendora.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/Dora-slider-3-254x300.png 254w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 352px) 100vw, 352px\" \/><\/p>\n<h2>Too early<\/h2>\n<p>If you are <strong>not yet 37 weeks<\/strong> pregnant and there are signs that the delivery has started, call us immediately!<\/p>\n<p>Signs to call for:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Loss of fluid from the vagina, which can be in a sudden gush or by continuously leaking small amounts, for example when standing up, moving, or after urinating.<\/li>\n<li>Bleeding<\/li>\n<li>Braxton Hicks contractions that come back regularly, for example every 10 minutes or more often.<\/li>\n<li>Cramps like during your period that become increasingly painful.<\/li>\n<li>Low or constant back pain<\/li>\n<li>Pressure in your pelvis, often you have this in combination with other things in this list.<\/li>\n<li>An increase in vaginal discharge, watery, mucous, or bloody.<\/li>\n<li>A feeling that &#8220;something&#8221; is not right.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Due date<\/h2>\n<p>If you are 37 weeks or further, different call instructions apply. Read them below.<\/p>\n<h3>Bleeding<\/h3>\n<p>If you have bleeding and it&#8217;s more than a sanitary pad full, we consider it too much bleeding and we would appreciate it if you call us. A small amount of bright red bleeding with some mucus is normal.<\/p>\n<h3>Contractions<\/h3>\n<p><strong>First child<br \/>\n<\/strong>With regular contractions every <strong>4 to 5 minutes<\/strong> for <strong>1 hour<\/strong>, where the contraction lasts <strong>1 minute<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Subsequent child<br \/>\n<\/strong>When contractions come every <strong>5 minutes<\/strong> and you have to make an effort to handle them.<\/p>\n<h3>If your waters break<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>We always want to know if your waters have broken. If it&#8217;s at night and it feels okay for you, you can call us around 8 o&#8217;clock in the morning.<\/li>\n<li><strong>If the amniotic fluid<\/strong> is green or brown, you should always call us immediately. We will come to see you right away.<\/li>\n<li>If your baby has not yet dropped (we will tell you during the check-ups) and your waters break.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>When do you call?
